Writer, poet and aphorism born in Comiso. For most of his life, he worked as school teacher débuting in 1981, at age 61 with the novel “Diceria dell’Untore” -thanks to the encouragement of Leonardo Sciascia and Elvira Sellerio. The work earned him the prestigious Premio Campiello. In 1988 he was awarded the Premix Strega with the novel :Lev Menzigne Della Notte”. He became famous for his elegant, rich and in some cases “old-world”style, and for his linguistic skills and great culture. Friend of Leonardo Sciascia, spent most of his life in Comiso , maintaining a life withdrawn and discreet.
