115. Filippo Randazzo

Sponsored by the noble La Motta S. Agrippina of Messina, Randazzo moved to Rome where he joined the school of painter Sebastiano Conca, key representative of late Brooch style. When he moved back to Sicily, Randazzo worked in his home town, Nicosia, and then Palermo. He worked with Francesco Ferrigno, Gaspare Serenario, Olivio Sozzi and his own son Mariano Randazzo. His nick name was “Monocolo of Nicosia” as he was blind from one eye.
